Commission backs Poland’s €35.4bn Covid recovery plan

                    

Long-delayed plan includes allocations for increasing links between industry, research and education

The European Commission has endorsed Poland’s plan for spending its share of the EU’s €800 billion Covid-19 recovery fund, almost a year after it approved the first plans from other EU member states.

Poland’s plan for its share of the fund allocates €35.4bn to what the Commission said were “crucial investment and reform measures”, including in research and innovation.
