Head of delegation says MEPs want to examine Hungarian situation “with our own eyes”

MEPs have said they will “focus on” academic freedom in Hungary first hand during a visit the nation’s capital this week.

A delegation of eight MEPs from the European Parliament’s Culture and Education Committee intends to visit Budapest from 2 to 4 November, to speak with people including politicians and representatives of educational institutions.
