MEPs: EU energy autonomy proposals could harm cohesion

REPowerEU plan draws concern from European Parliament Committee on Regional Development

Members of the European Parliament have warned that the EU’s recent proposals for achieving energy autonomy could harm efforts to integrate the bloc economically and socially.

The European Commission presented the REPowerEU plan on 18 May, with aims to reduce energy supply from Russia and counter climate change.
