Fourteen of 18 potential priorities seem to already have enough member states’ backing to progress
EU member state governments have been submitting their preferences for priority actions to take forward for the European Research Area, with 14 of the 18 potential actions already seeming to have achieved sufficient backing.
The ERA is a 20-year-old EU-led policy initiative for improving European research, including by making it easier for knowledge and researchers to move around the continent. With progress having slowed in recent years, EU member state governments are considering a list of 18 priority actions to reinvigorate the initiative.
