Media needs better access to scientists to improve trust, says European Research Council’s Maria Leptin
Scientists themselves cannot defeat the scepticism of science that has hampered uptake of Covid-19 vaccines, according to one of Europe’s leading scientific representatives.
Efforts to explain risk and how research works increased during the pandemic, but surveys have shown that a significant proportion of the public still does not trust scientists.
