The European Research Council has revealed the researchers, projects and host countries that gained from reallocations of its funding to reserve applicants due to Swiss and UK institutions being ineligible to host grant-winners. Countries that typically host many ERC projects—including Germany and France—are hosting many of the reallocated grants. Of 77 reserves offered Consolidator Grants for mid-career researchers, 14 were based in Germany at the time of their application and 11 were based in France.
