EU and Canada forge digital partnership

Initiative aims to increase cooperation on topics including artificial intelligence

The EU and Canada have agreed to form a “digital partnership” to build on their existing collaboration in digital technologies.

Their agreement was announced on 7 March, following meetings in Canada between its prime minister Justin Trudeau and European Commission president Ursula von der Leyen (pictured front left and front right, respectively).
