Politicians visit US and Latin America to discuss improving student mobility and cooperation in science

The EU has sought to boost its education and R&D ties with the Americas during recent visits to the two continents by high-ranking politicians.

European Commission president Ursula von der Leyen (pictured left) held talks with US president Joe Biden (pictured right) on 10 March, during which the pair discussed how to improve academic and student mobility between the two regions.
