EU regional representatives say alliances involving universities could help shape worker retention policies
Local politicians from across the EU want authorities to give universities more support so that they can help to prevent the loss of skilled workers and raise low rates of higher education in certain regions.
The European Committee of the Regions adopted a resolution on harnessing European talent on 16 March, in response to European Commission proposals on the same topic presented in January.
