Chemicals lobby criticises European Commission proposal for ‘reading like long list of regulations’

Research and innovation will play a key role in an EU chemicals strategy for “sustainability towards a toxic-free environment”, according to the European Commission.

The strategy, adopted by the Commission on 14 October, is intended to make use of chemicals in the EU safer for human health and the environment, by changing how their use in products such as food packaging, toys and textiles is regulated.
