The EU is set to recognise the UK’s protection of people’s personal data as being equivalent to its own, according to media reports—a decision that would maintain easy flow of personal data between the country and the bloc for activities including research.
The Financial Times reported on 15 February that it had seen a draft decision by the Commission, which it said was expected to be approved this week.
