Poland launches programme to boost international ties

Initiative will pay for foreign researchers ‘of world renown’

The NAWA, Poland’s national agency for academic exchange, has launched an initiative to attract high-ranking researchers from other nations as part of a push to internationalise Polish institutions.

Under the NAWA Chair programme announced on 3 June, universities and other scientific institutions can apply for long-term funding to support “a foreign scientist of world renown”, as well as for fundamental research, all financed by Poland’s National Science Centre.
