EU mulling ‘talent partnerships’ for managing migration

Proposed mobility-boosting initiative could include researchers and students

The EU should create ‘Talent Partnerships’ with countries and regions outside the bloc to “help boost mutually beneficial international mobility”—including potentially of researchers and students—the European Commission has proposed.

In a proposal published on 23 September, the Commission suggested the partnerships could “directly support schemes facilitating the mobility of students and researchers”.
