Arts-based research engagement has pros and cons, study finds

Art found to bring new perspectives to research, but sometimes upset the public

A review of the use of art to communicate research to the public has found the approach has benefits and downsides, while noting that evidence on efficacy remains limited.

The study by Sarah Ball, Brandi Leach, Jennifer Bousfield, Pamina Smith and Sonja Marjanovic, analysts at the think tank Rand Europe, was published on 11 January.
