New funding call will bolster existing cooperation, but also fund new EUI alliances
The European Commission has announced a further €272 million for the European Universities Initiative, the EU’s scheme for supporting cooperation on education and research among cross-border alliances of higher education institutions.
So far, 41 pilot alliances of more than 280 institutions in 32 countries have each received up to €7m via two funding rounds from the EU’s Erasmus+ academic mobility programmes and its Horizon R&D programmes, for activities including the creation of joint campuses, qualifications and posts.
