Leru university group: ‘Don’t rely on surveys to judge teaching’

Various sources should be used to assess education quality, League of European Research Universities says

There is a “pressing need” to improve the evaluation of teaching in universities, including by moving away from an overreliance on student satisfaction surveys, according to the League of European Research Universities.

On 3 December, Leru said that increased attention to teaching quality in universities had “unfortunately” led to more use of surveys to find out student’s satisfaction with the teaching they receive.
