Study will examine how microcredentials support work
The research policy analysis centre the PPMI is to study the EU labour market’s use of microcredentials, which certify completion of short courses or attainment of skills, amid rising interest in them among European policymakers and higher education institutions.
“The growing popularity of microcredentials is an outcome of competing societal and economic forces and macro-level trends, which reflect changing perspectives of what individuals, employers and governments expect from education,” the PPMI said on 2 February.
