‘Consensus needed on European curricula for research data’

Experts call for core university curriculum and training programme to boost open science

Europe needs to develop a consensus on a core higher education curriculum for open science and making research data findable, accessible, interoperable and reusable (Fair), an expert group has recommended.

The suggestion was made in a report published on 9 February by the European Commission. The paper was put together by an expert group on skills and training assembled by the executive board of the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC)—an EU-funded initiative to create a portal for sharing and analysing research data.
