University group says initiative should also include Swiss and UK institutions as full partners
The European Universities Initiative—an EU scheme supporting cross-border university alliances to build cooperation on research and education—needs more time, funding and legislative action from national governments and the European Commission if it is to succeed, a university network has said.
The League of European Research Universities, which is not one of the alliances but rather a broader network with EUI institutions among its members, told governments and the Commission it is “time for action” if the initiative is to meet the ambitions set for it.
