Groups say mitigating effects of pandemic on early career researchers should be “immediate priority”
A manifesto to support early career researchers is being developed by European organisations who say it should be an “immediate priority” to mitigate the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic on the group.
First proposed by Portugal’s former research minister Manuel Heitor, a draft version of the manifesto has been drawn up by the French National Centre for Scientific Research, the Portuguese national agency for scientific culture Ciência Viva and the Initiative for Science in Europe, which represents learned societies and research organisations.
