Near-final version of assessment reform agreement bolsters core commitments with six supporting pledges
A widely anticipated EU-led agreement on reforming research assessment is set to include six “supporting commitments” on issues such as allocation of resources and monitoring of progress.
The agreement is being drawn up as a way for European research organisations to commit to improving how they assess institutions, projects and researchers, by broadening considerations beyond an overreliance on quantitative metrics.
