German government reportedly wants EU-UK deal to include student mobility

The UK rejoining the EU’s Erasmus+ academic mobility programme, as has reportedly been proposed by the German government, could benefit both the country and the bloc, according to experts in the research sector.

The EU is currently discussing a security deal with the UK, and the German government has proposed expanding this to encompass areas ranging from agriculture to student mobility, news website Politico reported last month.
