Europe’s space policy can learn from down-to-earth experience

  

Joined-up approach to research infrastructure should reach beyond Earth, say Katharina Cramer and her colleagues

“European space policy will continue to rely on the European Space Agency…so if we are to be successful in our European strategy for space, I will need Esa by my side.” 

This quote from Thierry Breton, European commissioner for the internal market, in January is testament to the fragmented state of European space policy.
