Urgent action needed on health research, government told

   

New Zealand must start translating research into better health outcomes, says advocacy alliance

A health research advocacy group has called on the government to take urgent action as the country is failing to carry out and use health research adequately.

In a briefing paper sent to Andrew Little, minister for health in the re-elected Ardern government, New Zealanders for Health Research says: “Pathways of translating health research findings into better health outcomes are loose, ad hoc and dependent on local health service delivery leadership.”
