COP26: national climate plan still being formed as methane commitment causes farming industry backlash

Methane emissions are shaping up to be a national scientific challenge for New Zealand after the country signed a “global methane pledge” at the COP26 climate change summit in Glasgow.

The pledge commits New Zealand to helping to reduce global methane emissions by 30 per cent by the end of the decade.
