Space science boosted in Marsden Fund awards

Annual grants programme supports New Zealand’s cooperation with European space project

New Zealand’s participation in the European Union’s Laser Interferometer Space Antenna project has received a boost from a NZ$3 million grant in the latest round of Marsden Fund awards.

The Marsden Fund Council Award will go to a University of Auckland-led team (pictured) to participate in studies of gravitational waves through the project. Auckland’s Renate Meyer will lead the interdisciplinary group.
