Kitmap report maps New Zealand’s research infrastructure

More than half of public infrastructure—including laboratories and databases—is accessible to outsiders

New Zealand’s Kitmap report has mapped the country’s public research infrastructure, identifying 493 sites of use.

The report, released by the business, innovation and employment ministry, covered all of New Zealand’s laboratories, research sites, computers and sensor networks. It also included the country’s seven Crown Research Institutes (CRIs), as well as the Callaghan Innovation centre and the NeSI science platform.
