Themes emerge in submissions to consultation on changes the research system in New Zealand

When New Zealand’s research, science and innovation minister Megan Woods opened the door to a full reform of the nation’s research funding systems, she may not have realised just how much the sector had to say.

Woods’s 80-page “green paper,” titled Te Ara Paerangi Future Pathways, set out ideas for the future of New Zealand’s research system when it was published in October 2021.
