Education deans call for arts focus as others highlight problems with current system

New Zealand’s research reform process risks overlooking the arts, humanities and social research, the national Council of Deans of Education has warned, as hundreds of other groups set out their priorities for a new research system.

In its submission to the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment’s consultation on the Te Ara Paerangi Future Pathways green paper, the council argued that “the body of the green paper fails to address any area of endeavour beyond the natural sciences”.
