Anne Johnson says there is much to do for academy to reflect society it serves

The new president of the Academy of Medical Sciences says she plans to focus on boosting diversity and career development over the next four years.

Reflecting on her new role, Anne Johnson, who replaced Robert Lechler as president on 3 December, said the academy’s fellowship was “not immune from the same biases we see in the rest of science and society”.
