Sociology association urges members to decline external examiner roles over ‘cuts to research and teaching’
The British Sociological Association has called on its members to boycott events at the University of East London in protest at a restructure they say will negatively affect research and teaching.
In a statement published on 16 February, the BSA said it had “become increasingly concerned” over a restructure at UEL, which it said could “impact the future of sociology, both at UEL and in the UK more broadly”.
