Year-by-year budgeting “chokes off confidence” for UK businesses, argues science and engineering campaign group
A leading campaign group for science and engineering has urged the UK government to set out an R&D budget trajectory to show how its ambitious funding targets will be met.
The Campaign for Science and Engineering is calling on the Treasury to set out a plan for the remainder of this parliament, showing how it will increase public R&D investment to £22 billion by 2024-25 as part of its longer-term plan to raise R&D investment to 2.4 per cent of GDP by 2027.
