But admits there is still “long way to go” until fellowship reflects diversity of society
The Academy of Medical Sciences has welcomed the highest proportion of experts from Black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds in its latest intake of fellows.
On 11 May the academy announced that it had elected 60 biomedical and health scientists to its fellowship, in recognition of their “remarkable contributions to biomedical and health science, and their ability to generate new knowledge and improve the health of people everywhere”.
