Bioindustry invests £460m in UK life sciences

   

Boris Johnson meets industry leaders to discuss partnerships between government, industry, academia and the NHS

Biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies have announced investments worth a total of £460 million in the UK, timed to coincide with a meeting between industry leaders and the UK government.

Prime minister Boris Johnson said he was meeting industry leaders on 2 December “to discuss our renewed efforts against Covid-19, while ensuring we are better equipped to tackle future healthcare challenges”.
