Science minister says government space strategy will support ‘science superpower’ ambitions and innovative businesses

The UK’s new science minister has promised that an overhauled national approach to space will unlock private sector investment in innovation and position the nation “at the forefront of international space research”.

Launching the government’s space strategy on 27 September, science minister George Freeman said the government has “bold ambitions for the UK to be at the vanguard of this industry” and that the strategy will “put rocket boosters under the UK’s most innovative space businesses”.
