Oxford-Cambridge Arc ‘could generate over £200bn a year’

Report sets out plan to capitalise on area’s strengths in science, technology and manufacturing

Developing a business and innovation hot spot between Oxford and Cambridge could generate £200 billion each year by 2050 in economic returns, a report has suggested.

The report, published on 13 September by the property consultancy firm Bidwells, said there was “huge potential” in the central region of the Oxford-Cambridge Arc—which is home to Anglia Ruskin University, the University of Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire New University, Cranfield University and the University of Northampton.
