Small businesses want half of all UK government R&D funding

Lobby group report urges government to ramp up spending on diffusion and adoption of innovation

The UK government should spend half of its R&D funding on small and medium enterprises, and at least 10 per cent of its R&D budget on the diffusion and adoption of innovation, a group representing the interests of small businesses has suggested.

In a new report, the Federation of Small Businesses identifies a number of barriers to small businesses conducting innovation.
