Scottish university libraries to launch open-access platform

              

Initiative will focus on monographs in two-year pilot before expanding to other content

The Scottish Confederation of University and Research Libraries, the membership body for Scotland’s university and research libraries, is launching its own open-access publishing platform.

Set to launch in autumn 2022, the new platform aims to provide a “clear and cost-effective route for researchers to make their work freely available to a global audience”, while meeting the open-access requirements of funders.
