NIHR announces eight new Academic Health Science Centres

The newly designated centres will combine research, health education and patient care

The National Institute for Health Research has designated eight Academic Health Science Centres in England with the aim of translating scientific advances into treatments for patients.

The centres—which are collaborations between universities and NHS organisations—will combine research, health education and patient care.
