‘Strikingly uneven’ research funding across the UK

Influential council says there is ‘no obvious correlation’ between funding and spin-outs

There is a “strikingly uneven” distribution of research and innovation funding across the UK, according to the Industrial Strategy Council.

On 22 September a report published by the Industrial Strategy Council, an advisory group which scrutinises the government’s progress on delivering the Industrial Strategy, revealed there was “strikingly uneven distributions across the UK of research and innovation funding”.
