Strategy sets out plan to create ‘most advanced genomic healthcare system in world’

The UK government has hailed a “tipping point” in genomics research as it sets out its plan to create the “most advanced genomic healthcare system in the world”.

In its new National Genomic Healthcare Strategy, titled Genome UK: The Future of Healthcare, the government announced its ambition to “maintain and extend” the country’s leadership position in genetics and genomics.
