UK science minister suggests drawing on “Commonwealth legacy” to target aid could help tackle migration

Science minister George Freeman has called for “deeper” technology transfer partnerships between the UK and other Commonwealth nations to help fight climate change while alleviating migration pressures.

The minister, who was appointed to the role in September, was speaking at a Science Business event on 25 November, discussing the United Nations’ COP26 climate change conference.
