Plans to cut graduate salary threshold from £27,295 gathering pace, according to national newspaper

The government is planning to cut the salary threshold at which students must start repaying their loans from more than £27,000 to £22,000, according to a national newspaper.

The current repayment threshold of £27,295 could fall to “as low as £22,000” under government proposals to tackle the rising costs of university education for taxpayers, The Telegraph reported on 12 November.
