Summit to explore ‘worrying rise’ in antisemitism on campus

Education secretary Nadhim Zahawi promises to “root out the evil of antisemitism from our campuses”

The government has commissioned a summit of student and university representatives to explore the “worrying rise in antisemitic incidents” on university campuses in England.

Education secretary Nadhim Zahawi told the Jewish Chronicle newspaper on 18 November that the UK government intended to “bring together key stakeholders from the sector to examine what more can be done to make Jewish students and staff feel safe on campus”.
