As delays drag on over the UK’s association to Horizon Europe, the EU’s €95.5 billion R&D programme, the government has yet to announce its ‘Plan B’ if the UK drops out.

For researchers who have applied to European funding calls, there is significant uncertainty over what might happen next, even as the government is reportedly planning “short-term measures to mitigate” against further delays and the possibility of no association.
