“More detail” needed about government plans to guarantee money for UK winners of EU funding
R&D experts have called for more detail on UK government plans for a “safety net” for successful applicants to Horizon Europe, the EU’s €95.5 billion (£80.5bn) R&D programme.
The calls follow the 29 November announcement of a “new financial safety net” for the “first wave of successful applicants” to Horizon, given the ongoing delays to the UK’s association to the programme, which have left researchers unable to sign their grants and access EU money.
