Bills to ‘start arriving quickly’—but still no clarity on where money will come from

Policy experts have raised concerns over where the money for the UK’s association to the European Union’s R&D programme, Horizon Europe, will come from, as bills are expected to start arriving in the coming months.

There are widespread concerns in the sector that the national research funding agency, UK Research and Innovation, will have to foot the roughly £2 billion annual bill from its existing budget.
