Engineer Hayaatun Sillem to chair Kwarteng’s new business forum

Forum to “help implement” business secretary’s innovation strategy, which also reveals R&D levelling up plans

The government is to establish a Business Innovation Forum to help implement its new innovation strategy, which has also provided insights into the upcoming R&D Place Strategy and Levelling Up White Paper.

The government’s strategy document said the new forum will be chaired by the CEO of the Royal Academy of Engineering, Hayaatun Sillem (pictured, left), and it will “galvanise action towards our objectives from the business community, support implementation of the strategy, and hold government to account on the actions contained within the strategy”.
