Herschel Award announced by UK leader, as research universities also meet to discuss UK-Germany cooperation
The UK prime minister, Boris Johnson, has announced a new award for UK or Germany-based female astrophysicists, as Angela Merkel makes her final visit to the country as German chancellor.
The £10,000 prize is named after the German-born British astrophysicist, Caroline Herschel, the first woman to document a comet.
