One of the UK’s two new science ministers talks Horizon Europe, Aria, UKRI and REF
George Freeman is back, having been reappointed as a minister in the business department by Rishi Sunak, the latest UK prime minister.
Freeman was parliamentary undersecretary of state for science, research and innovation at the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy between September 2021 and July 2022, when he resigned in protest against the actions of then-prime minister Boris Johnson.
